A Rockin' 50's Sock Hop - May 2, 2003

PTF commemorated the end of a successful fundraising year by hosting a Rockin' 50's Sock Hop and Art Exposition. All KCS & KPC families and staff were invited to join the KCS children as they mingled with celebrities such as Elmo, Spiderman and Barbie, just to name a few. Leslie Hall was transformed into a 1950s Malt Shop and everyone rock and rolled to some of the coolest hits of the 50s. Everyone enjoyed seeing the children's incredible artwork on display and kudos went to KCS' Art Teacher and the Pre-K teachers for their hard work and dedication. Eleven gift baskets were raffled along with a 7-night Caribbean Cruise for two and a 4-day/3-night all-inclusive stay at Sandals or Beaches. The raffle of these items raised over $4,200 for our school which will be used to purchase new computers for the classrooms. PTF would like to thank all of the families that helped make this event a success and for their support of the various fundraising events throughout the year.
