After school activities
Our after-school programs provide your child with a variety of activities including dance, ballet, tennis, soccer, BLAST, Choir, KCS Knights Soccer Team, volleyball, Homework Help Club, Journalism Club, and Cook With Books Club. Contact us for more information on these activities.
In this club students will explore various media including pastels, acrylics on canvas, water colors and more. They will also learn fun drawing techniques. The program is structured but relaxed and is designed to teach the kids self-worth, self-control, and vision.
Dancers have fun, socialize, and most importantly dance. They will learn Jazz, Belly Dance, Pom, and work on their technique and flexibility. All Dancers perform in the Christmas and Spring Programs.
Students are given the opportunity to develop an appreciation for music and share their God given talents while delivering messages through the use of their voices and hand motions.
Students will learn basic beginning ballet skills. This includes basic barre techniques and cross floor movements. Class also includes simple mat stunts to develop upper arm strength. Students will develop a love of dance, music and gain poise and agility.
Even teams will be formed from students within the school. All practices and games will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays, with possible make-up days on Fridays. No games will be played against other schools.
Soccer Shots is a national program teaching children the beautiful game of soccer. One of our trademarks is the developmentally appropriate curriculum we use that emphasizes crestive play, enjoyment of sport, and character building lessons. Our sessions range from 30-40 minutes in length.
Join KPC's BLAST children's ministry as we cause a commotion in our church, school, community and world! This club will seek to prepare, motivate, and give opportunites to kids 1st through 5th grade to serve others and make a positive impact on our culture.
In Journalism Club, the students help prepare our very own Knightly Newsletter. Students learn to write small articles which will be printed and distributed throughout the school community.
Students that are part of the WOW Team will provide a monthly sponsorship for a child in Colombia and will build a personal relationship with that child through video exchanges and letters.
KCS SOCCER TEAM
This program is designed to teach the participants the fundamentals and basic skills of soccer, as well as understanding the rules of the game. As students develop these skills, they will be assigned to a team (Kinder Division, Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary) where they will have weeky intramural games.
Homework Help Club
This club will assist students in 1st through 5th grade after school homework assistance and study skills. The assistance will be provided by KCS teachers with a ratio of 1 to 6 students setting.
COOK WITH BOOKS CLUB
Our fun Cook with Books club will promote reading, comprehension, vocabulary, math, and, of course, delicious easy recipes. This club allows your children to make delicious and simple recipes, which you can create with your family.
