SPANISH IMMERSION

Kendall Christian School offers children an opportunity to learn Spanish through our Spanish Immersion program for students from PreK4 through 4th Grade.

The classroom setting and teacher provide students with the best environment for language acquisition through subject content and social interaction.

The Spanish Immersion classrooms use a combination of our school’s curriculum along with the add.a.lingua method of instruction and lesson frameworks. While the core subjects are taught solely in Spanish, specials such as art, music, PE, library/media, STEAM, and science will continue to be taught in English.

At KCS, we believe students will benefit from a quality, dual language immersion program that ensures high proficiency in more than one language. This program will give students the ability to become bilingual, biliterate, and bicultural; in turn, they will have greater opportunities to use their gifts as they serve a global community.

If you have any questions regarding our Spanish Immersion program, please contact our Program Coordinator, Mrs. Teresa Pimienta, at tpimienta@kendallchristian.com.

To enroll your child into this program, please contact the office of Admissions, Mrs. Sherril Nealey, at snealey@kendallchristian.com

It’s like a door opened that we never knew existed. It has really bridged a language gap that was forming between my child and her grandparents, especially growing up in a city where speaking Spanish has so much cultural relevance!
